Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 14, 2026

At MixConvert, your privacy is not just a feature — it is the foundation of our entire architecture. This Privacy Policy explains what information we do and do not collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

Our Core Privacy Principle

MixConvert processes all files entirely in your web browser using WebAssembly technology. Your files never leave your device. There is no upload, no server-side processing, and no way for us to access your files. This is a technical guarantee, not just a policy.

Information We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect, store, or have access to: any files you convert, file names or metadata, file contents or previews, conversion history, or any data derived from your files.

Information We Collect

Analytics Data (Google Analytics): We collect anonymous usage statistics including pages visited, visit duration, device type and browser, general geographic region, and referral sources. This data helps us understand how people use MixConvert and improve the service.

Cookies: We use essential cookies for site functionality and third-party cookies from Google Analytics and Google AdSense. See our Cookie Policy for detailed information.

Third-Party Services

Google Analytics: Collects anonymous website usage data. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

Google AdSense: May display personalized or non-personalized advertisements. Ad targeting is based on website content and Google's data, not on your files (which we never access). Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

Data Retention

Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' default retention settings (currently 14 months). We do not retain any file data because we never receive it.

Data Security

Our privacy-first architecture is our primary security measure. Because your files are processed entirely on your device, they are never exposed to network transmission risks or server-side storage vulnerabilities. Our website is served over HTTPS to protect your browsing activity.

Your Rights

  • GDPR (European Users): You have the right to access, rectify, erase, and port your personal data. You can request data deletion by contacting us.
  • CCPA (California Users): You have the right to know what personal information is collected and to request its deletion. We do not sell personal information.
  • Opt-Out: You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. You can manage ad personalization in your Google Ad Settings.

Children's Privacy

MixConvert does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The Service is designed to be privacy-safe for users of all ages since no file data is ever collected.

International Data Transfers

Analytics data collected by Google Analytics may be processed in various countries. Google adheres to data transfer frameworks to ensure your data is handled securely. Your files, however, never leave your device and are not subject to any data transfers.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
